Elixir Black - Femme Rebelle Magazine

Femme Rebelle Magazine

I have been a little bit quiet recently as we had a long weekend away to Prague, which was lovely. I might do a post on that this month, as I took so many images!

It’s unbelievable it is May already, but here we are! A month ago today I got to work with the Australian beauty Elixir Black whilst she was visiting the UK. Yesterday some of our images were published in Femme Rebelle Magazine, below are the tearsheets! I loved this shoot, she was an absolute delight to work with, and she rocked these lingerie sets by Lingerie by Velveteena Leigh!

This is another look we did on our shoot. This was shot in a corner of my dining room. In totaly we shot about 7 looks, so I still have more to share but I am waiting on those to be published a well! I have shared the behind the scenes time lapse as well.

Xpressions Magazine - Issue #348 - Constance Peach

Xpressions Magazine

I had every intention to update over the weekend, but time got away from me and I ended up being absolutely wiped out from my shoot on Saturday.

I had this exciting magazine release come out on Friday the 1st of April. It was a bit later than usual due to the publishers having network issues, but I am excited to now share it. I honestly haven’t been trying for covers really, I just enjoy shooting and wanted to submit more. I do not expect to get this many more again but It has felt nice having my work seen in that way.

I loved this shoot with Constance, we got some great images. Check out the inside tearsheets below!

On Saturday I had an amazing shoot with the gorgeous Elixir Black. She was an absolute sweetheart, and we shot so much great stuff. I really can’t wait to get cracking on with the editing for this! We were sent some gorgeous garments from Lingerie by Velveteena Leigh & Catalyst Latex.

Check out below for some sneaky back of the camera shots. This wasn’t even all the looks we did!

Modsquad Issue #2 - Olivia Sumners

Modsquad Magazine

I hope everyone has had a good week. I have been off from my full time job (Retoucher), and I really lucked out with the weather! It has been lovely having some downtime, but also planning for shoots coming up. I also got the news of a new cover with Modsquad, this time with the lovely Olivia at Lil’ Sweetheart Latex. Olivia is someone I am lucky enough to call a close friend. We met last year when we first worked together, it turned out we don’t live far from one another, and we just immediately clicked. I couldn’t resist us shooting her Cowgirl inspired latex outfits, and we had fun with these! Have a look below for a little behind the scenes reel!

Yesterday, I spent the day shooting the gorgeous Fae Raven. Fae & I first worked together back in 2011 when I was in university, and then again in 2012 when I wanted to shoot a charity calendar to raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. I can’t believe it has been 10 years since our last shoot, but it was so great to be able to work with her again, and hopefully there won’t be such a big gap between our next shoot! Look before for some back of the camera shots!

Next weekend I am working with the awesome Elixir Black whilst she is visiting the UK, and I am really excited for that shoot!

Gothic Culture Magazine

Gothic Culture Magazine

Last month a set from my shoot with Lauren C was published in Gothic Culture Magazine. I really loved this set we created in the master bedroom of my home.

Below are the tearsheets from this issue.

At the weekend just gone, I had my 2nd shoot with Psycatt. I always love working with her, and she always brings some amazing latex to our shoots from Pandora Deluxe.

We got some really cool stuff in my studio, as well as doing a set downstairs. I am excited to get them all edited! Some sneak peeks below!

I am keeping my March quiet on the shoot front, I might book in the odd one or two, but I have some product & lifestyle work coming my way so want to keep my time free for that, plus I still have a bunch of editing to catch up on! Then it is back to being busy in April, and I have some great shoots lined up already!

At the weekend I worked with an awesome friend of mine, Lil’ Sweetheart Latex. We shot some of her gorgeous cowgirl themed latex and had a blast doing so.

I am still working my way through the previous weeks shoot, so have only edited the image to the right, but I am really excited to get properly stuck in to this shoot!

I am shooting again at the weekend, with Psycatt, which will be our 2nd shoot. So that will be fun.

But for now have some little back of the camera sneaks from the cowgirl themed shoot!

Lauren & Polly

Last month I worked with Lauren again, and we had a great shoot and created some beautiful imagery. A couple of sets we sent for magazines, one was Gothic Culture Magazine, and we are due a cover in April from Nocturnus, which is exciting. Once I have tear sheets I will post those.

It is always a fun shoot with Lauren, as she is such a lovely and bubbly person to work with. We made use of areas of my house again, but different rooms, such as my dining room & bedroom, as well as my little studio. I think my favourite set was in the Dining room (image to the right), as I used a mix of ambient and flash in here, and used a blue gel for an accent.

I can’t wait to see our publication in April, and will hopefully get something else organised with this beauty again soon!

Polly - Back of the Camera

I had an incredible shoot with Polly Anther recently, she is just incredible to work with. We shot 6 looks whilst she was here, a mixture around my house & studio. It has been one of my toughest shoots to narrow selections down for. I am holding off sharing anything yet as I really want to submit some of the sets we got.

Keep an eye out for these images!

I haven’t left it quite as long as past updates, but still haven’t been as frequent as I was hoping. Last month was a busy one, and this one is looking to be even more so!

I had a few great shoots last month, and it was a great start to the year. I did my first male model shoot in about 7 years, and it went really well. Konstantine was a great model to work with, and I think we got some really strong shots.

Gallery below!

I did my first shoot of February during the week, with model & performer Constance Peach. We got some really lovely shots that I am excited to share once I have edited. I am loving having the freedom to shoot around my house now that the majority of it is decorated, it is nice to take some imagery that is not purely studio based.

Couple of sneaky peeks to the right…

I have a very busy month ahead, an still have some unseen work to share as well! So will hopefully be able to update with those soon!

I am still here!

I am still here!

I honestly can’t believe I have left it this long since I last updated! Life has just kind of flown by in the past few months and here we are already in June!

I have been busy with both my retouching job, but also it has been so lovely being able to work with other people on shoots since restrictions were lifted! I had my first shoot of 2021 back in April with Lily Omen (pictured right), and have been trying to shoot most weekends since! I have managed to do a bit of self shooting as well on the side of that, but honestly, I haven’t really had the time or the desire to as much now I have new faces to work with.

My shoot with Lily was fantastic, and we had never worked together before which was lovely. She was wonderful to work with, and we got so much done in the time that we had which was amazing. I am really hoping our paths cross again soon! I then shot with another new face to me, also in April, by the name of Olivia, who is also a latex designer under the name Lil’ Sweetheart Shop. She is someone that is fairly local to me, and we hit it off almost immediately. We shot a few of her designs, and although she is fairly new to modelling, she was lovely to work with and settled into it really quickly.

Lastly in April, I finally got to work with the pin up beauty that is Stephanie Jay. We have had plans to work together for a while now, and did have something booked in for last year until the C word scarpered those plans. But finally managed to get something in after lockdown, and we had a great shoot, she is such a pro. I really hope we can work together again.

Then in May, I got to do 2 more shoots I have had in the works for a while. Because of no conventions, I have really missed photographing cosplayers. I only managed one cosplay shoot in 2020, and I have been desperate to do more. So when Beyond Believing approached me last year about shooting her genderbent Geralt from Witcher, I jumped at the chance! Not only is it one of my favourite games, but her cosplay is based off of the Netflix series which I absolutely love! I found the perfect location that wasn’t too far from me, and we also really lucked out with the weather day, as the weather had been awful in the run up to it. We also shot a bit of Geralt back in my studio, plus some fitness looks as Nieke is a cross fitter. We got some really fab shots that day, and I also did a behind the scenes video which you can find below.

Check out the gallery below featuring some shots from the shoots I have done these past couple of months!

Behind the scenes video with Beyond Believing Cosplay.

My last shoot for May was with Halatirno. Again, this was another that had been planned for a while, but restrictions had prevented it from happening.

I contacted Gulli when I had a designer in America sending me some gorgeous scale mail items to shoot. Last year we shot some beautiful photos with a chainmail hood, so I knew instantly she would be perfect for this. She went to amazing lengths and crafted the most stunning gown just for our shoot! Again, I managed to find the perfect location for this and we had the most amazing weather for the day too.

I am still working my way through all the images, but here is a shot taken from my computer screen, plus some behind the scenes & location shots.

I will have plenty to share once all edited, plus I did another behind the scenes video.

I will try not to leave it so long until my next update!

Spooky Season Update!

Well, October flew by in the blink of an eye! I am incredibly late with posting as I was so busy throughout the whole month that I just never got round to updating!

October is my favourite time of year, not only is it my wedding anniversary, and the month everything starts to turn gorgeous shades of orange, but it is also officially spooky season!

We started off the month by being away for our anniversary, staying in a lovely family run cabin on a lake and next to a woods! It was perfect for us and pooch for a few days. Whilst there, I also shot some of my Halloween looks that I do for October! I usually aim to do around 10, as I just love this time of year. Our cabin was perfect for some of the ideas I had! I also went pumpkin picking with a friend, and did a Trail of Terror at Colchester Zoo with my family, as well as getting some last bits of decorating finished! Even though it’s been a busy one, and it’s generally my favourite time of year anyway, October has been the best month I have had this year!

Midway through the month, I also finally got to work with one of my favourite people again, Marie Devilreux! We had been trying to plan a shoot together again for ages, but our schedules just didn’t seem to allow it, and then the first lockdown happened!

She wanted to shoot her costumes she uses for acts, and we were lucky enough to use two of the venues she performs in, Proud at Embankment & Stringfellows in Covent Garden. We got so many gorgeous images that I just can’t wait to start working on this month. I let a camera film some behind the scenes too, so will make sure to put a little video together for that! I am already looking forward to us planning our next one!

I had great fun shooting this year’s Halloween looks. Some I have had in the works for a while, in particular my main cosplay which I started last year, and I actually did some on location which was a really nice change as well! Both outside ones I enlisted the help of my husband, as the weather was terrible whilst we were away, so windy & raining. So it wasn’t the conditions to shoot tethered, and my tripod kept shaking from the wind. So with everything set up, I gave him the camera to just take the photos.

Find the gallery below of a selection of the 10 looks I did! It has been great self shooting more this year, as it’s kept me busy when I haven’t been able to work with other people due to what is going on. The one I worked the hardest on was my Ash from Evil Dead. It is one of my favourite film franchises and I have wanted to cosplay him for ages! I made the chainsaw hand from scratch and would love to do more with it!

Here is a little Ash video I did whilst we were away. I have used some old clips from a Evil Dead behind the scenes video I did years ago, but added in new ones my husband filmed. Music is by him as well.

I had shoots arranged for this month, but due to Lockdown 2.0, I am now just going to catch up on my editing from my last shoot, and also just enjoy a bit of downtime! I have some Christmas content in the works to shoot, although I am absolutely not ready for the C word right now!

Keep a look out for the new post on Marie, I am so excited to share our new images!

Stay safe!

Teagan Paige - Edited!

I have been busy the last few weekends with shoots, and it’s felt great. Today I had my last shoot until about October due to a renovation project that needs my full time and attention if I wish to have it completed. But this also gives me time to catch up on my editing work.

Today’s shoot was with Teagan Paige again, and it was her last as she is leaving the UK next week, so I was glad to fit her in again before she leaves!

Here is a little peek of what we shot today! I had Basque & Glory send me a couple of cute sets (which I will also be self shooting soon) and we also did some images in the bath with flowers.

My last shoot with Teagan Paige was great fun, and we both went into it blind as I had been let down by another model last minute, and she was on hand to help me out!

Considering we had no idea of what we were going to shoot, we managed to pull together 4 looks which I ended up loving.

My favourite from the set has got to be with the chainmail hood. I have used this a few times now for shoots, and every shoot has come out so different. I think these are probably my favourites. The colours, the styling, the poses, they just all work so well together and created some strong beauty images.

I still have my Witcher cosplay shoot to finish, and I am also waiting on Charlotte’s selections from our shoot last weekend. I definitely have a lot to keep me going for a bit. I will also have a behind the scenes video from this shoot as well!

Next weekend I have plans to self shoot, and have 4 looks I wish to do. I will be shooting the 2 Basque & Glory sets I shot this weekend, plus 2 cosplay inspired looks.

Here is the little behind the scenes video from our previous shoot! I would really like to get a proper camera to film behind the scenes again like I used too, but for now they are just filmed on my Google Pixel. Music is by Absent Minds.
